After the treatment, the skin may hurt, or swell, or become red. The blistering of the skin may produce an oozing effect where liquids ooze out of the skin. The treated skin has to be kept moist and lubricated so that the crusting is easy. The new skin may be bright red or pink. In the case of blue skin peel, the skin may have a bluish tinge and later a pearly abnormal color. While healing, the skin should not be exposed to sunlight and other elements.
In some cases, the swelling of the face is so much that the eyes may remain sunk and closed till normalcy returns. Though generally one treatment is sufficient to last for at least three to four years, some people may need more treatments at suitable interval for a perfect finish. Once the treatment is done, the person will look fresh and rejuvenated.
