Reduce Signs of Aging With a Home Chemical Peel

Looking younger is always a goal of the aging person. They want to keep themselves looking how they feel, which is young and happy. There are painful surgeries to help reduce the signs of aging, but why go through something like that when an easier answer is available? A home chemical peel can restore your natural beauty to ensure a wrinkle free appearance and better healing time. It is also less expensive.

The chemical peels use a substance of Phenol or Trichloroacetic acid. The ingredients help reduce blemishes, wrinkles, sun damage, or uneven pigmentation. A chemical peel takes one to two hours at a doctor as it peels the top layers of skin away. Feelings of tingling, swelling, or throbbing may occur. You will also have a sensitivity to light and a redness to the skin. This type of treatment can make it difficult to tan, due to the effects of the chemicals. Infections can occur due to the chemicals. Scarring, allergic reactions, blisters or cold sores have been known to occur. New skin will form after 7 to 21 days. It will take 2 to 4 weeks before you can feel normal again. A complete recovery takes 3 to 6 months.

The home chemical peel will range in pricing from $80 to $650. The range in price depends on the type of solution you want to use. If you visit a doctor for the peel you will spend $300 to $2000 for the procedure. With the home chemical kit you will work on the skin for six days with smaller peels rather than a full face peel.

If you do decide to use the home chemical peel you still need to protect your skin. Since the skin can dry or burn, cracks and sores are likely if you do not take care of the skin. You will need to keep your skin hydrated during the next few days by using water and aloe vera. You will also want to use a moisture cream after you have added the aloe vera to your face. However, before using the cream ensure there are no harmful chemicals that could hurt you. Creams do not always have the best ingredients, which means after a chemical peel you are sensitive and could use the wrong items to help rehydrate your skin. It will take a few days for your skin to heal with the home chemical peel, but it is less painful. The home chemical peel is also more even.
